Is There A Stripper Age Limit?
In a word?
Yes.
But allow me to explain. It has to do with how well you have taken care of yourself over the years and if plastic surgery is an option for you. For most women, your skin begins to lose its elasticity at about 40. That means that is when wrinkles begin to appear and flabby arms and even your butt begins to sag. However, if you look into facial peels, microderm abrasion, and other procedures you can still dance for quite a while.
The photo is of Tempest Storm and at 81 she still performs her burlesque shows in Vegas, NV. I’m not saying everyone can be a Tempest Storm but you don’t have to stop at 35 either.
If you are in the industry and are approaching 30 – stop freaking out! Women don’t reach their sexual maturity until about 30-34. It happened at 31 for me. Sexual maturity doesn’t mean you get super horny either. It is a change in attitude about sex and you’ve had enough experiences to know how and what it is you want from your partner. You also gain the ability to communicate it. This maturity is amazingly sexy to virtually everyone around you. I would wager that you will make more money after 30 than before.
In the fantasy world, young men drool over the experienced woman who knows what she’s doing and older men appreciate her confidence – meaning he doesn’t have to baby her ego.

Top 15 Tips To Improve Your Self-Esteem for Stripping
Filed Under Ladies and Gents, Strippers/Entertainers | Leave a Comment
Self-esteem and self-confidence are inter-connected. The key is to create an upward spiral to building both. When stripping off your clothes for money, grooming cannot be stressed enough. Taking care of yourself is a great way to feel confident and sexy. When you feel sexy, other people will think your sexy too!
- It is worth all the money you’ll pay to get your hair professionally done. If you don’t have a favorite stylist, ask some of the girls at work (whose hair looks fabulous) where they go. They will be glad to give you a referral.
- If you don’t know how to give yourself a pedicure, then go to a spa and get one! Watch how they do it and go to Walgreen’s, buy all the necessary tools to do it yourself. Avoid glow-in-the-dark polish. It looks childish.
- If you don’t know how to give yourself a manicure, see above. Otherwise get artificial nails done. Not too long and not too short. Slightly past your fingers is preferred and looks classiest. Also, a French manicure either with white or color is best.
- Go tanning! You don’t have to change your ethnicity, just get a little color. It will hide some (not all) flaws and your improves your skin texture. Use a spray tan if you don’t have to exfoliate for shaving or wear boots. Scrubbing and sweating will leave you two-toned and looking ghetto. Avoid tanning lotions for the same reason and application difficulty.
- Get your makeup done by a professional at least once who can show how they are applying the cosmetics. MAC will usually do this for free. Buy something from them as a thank you, then go home and practice their techniques. After a few times of applying and washing, you’ll get the hang of it. There are also all kinds of tips, tricks, and how-to videos online for free. If your unsure if you need a makeover, ask a trusted friend and be prepared to hear some constructive criticism. You can also ask a friend who has good makeup skills already for some advise. Note: Don’t get your advise from a clown! I don’t care if she’s your best friend!

- If you’ve been stripping/dancing a while and some trouble areas of your body aren’t responding and going away, get yourself into a gym program or hire a personal trainer. Stick with what you learn and your money will improve with your shape. Stop drinking alcohol at work is a great place to start.
- Don’t have time for the gym? Work out at home. Don’t get into being lazy at home. There are exercises you can do conveniently without going to the gym. See ‘This Strippers Workout Guide’ Create a workout and calorie calendar. X out the days you decide to exercise and stick with it. This can be a great way to stay motivated.
- Limit how much cheese, fried foods, fast food meals, and other junk you intake. Every time you indulge in frivolous meals you push your weight loss goals further out. This is a lifestyle and changes must be made to maximize your income potential.
- On the day you work stay away from foods that create gas in the gut. It should be a ‘no brainer’ but there are strippers out there that obviously need to hear it. You know who you are!
- To shave or not to shave? Industry standard is to shave completely. Why? Maybe because more of the ‘area’ is revealed. *shrugs* I prefer trimmed. I often get compliments about ‘leaving some leaves on the tree’. =)
- If you are self-conscience about your body (such as small breasts or butt, stretch marks, scars, etc), the worst thing you can do is dwell on it. NEVER, NEVER, EVER talk about it with customers. Even the ones you think you know are no exception. It just makes you look that much more unattractive! Don’t do it.
- Always exercise your manners. It actually helps to build your confidence. Remember what yo mama taught you! If you need to eat, chew with your mouth closed, if you feel a burp coming up, turn your head and say ‘excuse me’, cover your mouth when you cough, and don’t slurp your beverage. You get the idea.
- Limit your cussing. It makes you appear unintelligent and ignorant. There are dictionaries out there designed to expand your vocabulary. Try learning a new word every day and using it 5 times in a sentence throughout the night.
- Buy a couple of gowns that are expensive ($80-$100). Its well worth the investment. If you feel fabulous, you will be more appealing to the gentlemen who want class. Below are a few gowns I think are great. Click on them if you like them too!

There has been a growing epidemic where I work. The girls have forgotten about the art of seduction. My club has a ‘gown’ policy for the main stage. The gowns come off within literally 5 seconds. And the attitude is they hate wearing the gowns and wear them only to appease the club management. It is unfortunate to see such money making potential ignored.
Ladies, take your time and be seductive. Sure there are times to have high energy but with practice you can achieve both objectives. There is nothing wrong with dancing around with your dress on. It builds suspense and curiosity. Flirty smiles and winks show you are not afraid to remove your clothing and your tempting style is deliberate.
On the other side of the extreme: there are also girls who move so slow you’d think they were dancing in mud. Whether you intend it or not, this dance ’style’ portrays aloofness, lack of enthusiasm and interest in the patrons. This too will hinder your money.
How you should move is determined by the majority age of your audience. The older the patrons the slower the pace.
Whether you’ve been in the industry or not, I don’t have to tell you that most men are dorks at heart. Include some silliness into your dance repertoire. Smiling, cheesy grins and/or moves, or cracking a stupid joke or pun can improve your tips substantially. It shows that you are human, have personality, are having fun and want to be there.
Knowing when to be seductively sophisticated or playfully sexy is only mastered through experience. If serious isn’t working for you or the customer, try to being cute and bat your eyelashes. Show them that you can be whatever fantasy they desire.
