How To Google Search For Eye Make-Up Tips
Filed Under Uncategorized | 1 Comment
This may seem like a silly post for some of you. But so many times I have been frustrated by eye makeup tips sites and YouTube tutorials. I try out the look but can’t seem to get it right. Something just looks off or the look I like doesn’t really look good on me. I’ve even gone to the M.A.C. website and printed off the ‘maps’ that tell you step by step how to create the look. Only sometimes does it actually look good. Once you get frustrated, then you get into a make up rut – stuck with a look that over time becomes stagnant.

One thing I’ve noticed that eye makeup experts don’t tell you anywhere on the net is because eye shapes are so different, you will not get the same look as on the model unless your eye shape is the same as hers. It makes sense but why don’t they tell you? Because they secretly want to keep you confused and spending money.
My suggestion is when doing a search on the net for eye makeup, put the shape of your eye in the search query.
For example: ‘eye shadow tips for almond eyes’.
If you don’t know what shape eyes you have, do a google search for ‘different eye shapes’ and match up to the one closest to your eyes. Also you can search by the color of your eyes to get the most dramatic effects.
For example: ‘eye shadow tips for blue eyes’.
Once you know your eye shape, then you can go back to YouTube and find the best how to videos to help you get that perfect new look you crave.
Don’t wait until you are getting ready for work to try a new look. If you end up not liking the way it looks on you, you are either stuck with it or run the risk of being late for your shift – probably reverting back to your old stand-by techniques to save time.
Earlier in the afternoon, spend an hour or so just practicing your eye make up. When it comes time to get ready for work, you’ll already know what to do. This will save time in the long run and will ensure that you will feel good about the way you look.
You can also always go to the M.A.C. counter and ask for your make-up to be done by a pro – usually for free. Just make sure that you buy something. They will tell you how to re-create the look you want so you can do it yourself.
And for Godsakes, don’t ask your friend to do your makeup simply because you like the way she does hers. All too often she thinks it looks great and you wont like it but can’t really say anything for fear of hurting her feelings. It’s better to just not go there.
Instead ask her to go shopping with you. Who knows, maybe you’ll both come away with an exciting new look.
Cheers,
Perelandra

The Strangest Secret – Article Review
Filed Under Ladies and Gents, Strippers/Entertainers | 1 Comment
When it comes to sales techniques this one is probably the most important. You definitely are what you think and as happy as you decide!
The Strangest Secret
by John Boe
In 1957, Earl Nightingale, speaker, author and co-founder of the Nightingale-Conant Corporation, recorded his classic motivational record “The Strangest Secret.” “The Strangest Secret” sold over one million copies and made history in the recording industry by being honored as the first Gold Record for the spoken word. Nightingale, known as the “dean of personal development,” concluded that life’s “strangest secret” is that we become what we think about all day long.
Your belief system, like your computer, doesn’t judge or even question what you input; it merely accepts your thoughts as the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Think thoughts of defeat or failure and you’re bound to feel discouraged. Continuous thoughts of worry, anxiety and fear are unhealthy and often manifest in the body as stress, panic attacks and depression.
At the core of Earl’s message, he reveals the incredible power of positive self-talk, belief and expectation. What you vividly imagine and hold in your subconscious mind begins to out picture as your reality. Your belief system not only defines your reality, but it also shapes your character and determines your potential.
The power of affirmation and positive self-talk
If you had access to a powerful tool that would enhance our self- esteem and allow you to reach your full potential would you use it? A good way to create positive self-talk is through affirmations. An affirmation is a positive statement that represents your desired condition or outcome. Interesting enough, your subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between a real experience and a vividly imagined “mental” experience.
To be effective your affirmation must be stated aloud…
1. In a positive manner with the focus on what you want. When you catch yourself saying or thinking something negative about yourself, counteract the negative self-talk with a positive affirmation.
Start your affirmation with words like “I am…” or “I already have…”
Example: “I close sales with little or no resistance.” “I take good care of my customers and they show their appreciation by referring their friends to me.”
2. In the present tense. Your subconscious mind works in the present tense, so avoid words such as can, will, should or could.
Example: “I love doing my work and I am richly rewarded creatively and financially.”
3. With emotion and conviction.
4. Repeatedly. I suggest you read your affirmations each morning upon awakening and again each night just before falling asleep. Close your eyes and picture the end result. Feel the emotions associated with the affirmation.
“Watch your thoughts, for they become words. Choose your words, for they become actions. Understand your actions, for they become habits. Study your habits, for they will become your character. Develop your character, for it becomes your destiny.”

You show me a salesperson with high self-esteem, a positive attitude and a healthy work ethic and I’ll be able to predict his or her success in advance… I guarantee it.

Falling Strippers, Oh My!
So tonight, I witnessed a train wreck on stage. I have never in all my years dancing ever see someone fall so…complete. Usually there is an occasional stumble. Acceptable considering the stilts we strap onto our feet and call shoes. And sometimes there is an actual fall where you step on something as benign as a piece of ice on the floor.
But this girl…oh man.
I was sitting with a gent in between stages 2 and 3. Stage 3 happened to be in the background while I was chatting. I see this itty bitty girl with great big 8 inch heels standing on the rack, when suddenly her shoe rolls out from under her. She lands on her thigh/butt on the rail, bounces into a chair, and tumbles onto her ass on the floor. As I jumped out of my chair, hiding my smile, I could almost hear the little birdies flying in a circle above her head! She sat there on the floor stunned in wonderment. I tried to help her up but, being embarrassed, she refused. She got back on the stage, took her other shoe off and ‘danced’ the rest of the set. @_@
I went back to the table and my guy asked what had happened. “Gravity kicked her ass!”, I replied this time not hiding my smile and a chuckle.
Moral of the story?
Being sexy while drunk is impossible and gaining height via stripper shoes should be obtained by gradual progression.
Way to keep up the stereotype girlfriend!
